Bambi Alcalde

For Bambi, it was a dream come true when she had the opportunity to open her own dance studio . She is the studio’s Company and Artistic Director.

Bambi started dancing at two years old. Since then, she has led an exceptional dance career. She majored in dance in college, where she competed in, and won, many competitions. Bambi has danced alongside renowned hip-hop dancer Esperanto Bean and his company “Dimensions of Funk.” She has also performed as a backup dancer for Erica Martinez.

In addition to being a dance instructor, Bambi has been a hairstylist at Cheveux Salon and Spa in Bel Air. Bambi has three young children,  whom share her passion for dance and performing.

Rachael

Rachael is a dancer and educator from the Baltimore area and an award winning choreographer. Growing up, she had the opportunity to perform for several years in The Baltimore Children’s Cast of the Moscow Ballet Nutcracker. Rachael later continued her studies at the Community College of Baltimore County where she studied under Tommy Parlon and worked with guest artist Peter Pucci. After receiving her A.F.A in dance she transferred to the University of Maryland, College Park where she was a Creative and Performing Arts Scholar and graduated with a B.A in Dance. While at Maryland she had the opportunity to perform her own work, Self-Portrait at Maryland’s Next Now Festival. Rachael continues to dance and perform with Glade Dance Collective, a Washington, D.C. based dance company and Deep Vision Dance Company, a Baltimore based dance company at Towson University.

Dayna

Instructor

Originally from Massachusetts, Dayna has been taking classes in a variety of styles since the age of three. She has competed in tap, jazz, and ballet, and has also studied hip-hop, modern, lyric, gymnastics, and some ballroom. Dayna has a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Digital Media and enjoys sharing her passion of dance with all of her students.
Jennifer

Jennifer joined Wasatch Ballet Conservatory in 2001 where she studied ballet, jazz, and contemporary, with exposure to modern, hip-hop, tap, tumbling and competitive cheerleading.  After graduating, she continued on to Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Wellness with a Contemporary Dance minor.  While at BYU she spent time as a member of several performing companies including: Ballet Showcase, Contemporary DancEnsemble, International Folk Dance Ensemble, and Kinnect.  She also performed as a guest artist with BYU Theatre Ballet, BYU Opera Theatre, Wasatch Dance Projects, Utah Valley Civic Ballet, and Utah Regional Ballet (now Utah Metropolitan Ballet).  In 2014, she participated in a ballet study abroad in Italy, which involved daily classes at places such as La Scala School of Ballet, Scuola di Danza Hamlyn, and World Dance Movement Intensive. This experience also allowed her to perform works by artists such as William Forsythe, Desmond Richardson, and Teddy Forence.

Since her first teaching position in 2010, Jennifer has grown to love working with, and training students.  She is certified in both Progressing Ballet Technique and advanced mat Pilates, and used these to teach at Brigham Young University from 2016 to 2019.  She spent a year interning with Elevate Fitness and rehab, studying functional training through NASM, ISSA, and ACSM.  She has a strong background in Dance Kinesiology and Health through her degree, and continues to learn what she can to progress her teaching methods.  To promote dance in the community she developed and directed a children’s dance program at the Orem Fitness center where she taught classes, managed instructors, and directed shows.  Since that time she has instructed and choreographed for several prestigious studios around Utah Valley and has used her background to develop a safe and productive conditioning and training program for her students of all ages and levels.

Kristen

Kristen has coached multiple amateur ballroom dancers to first place victories at competitions around the region. Kristen took up ballroom in 2005; since then she has choreographed countless dances for wedding couples, introduced dozens of people to Ballroom Dancesport competition and developed a youth ballroom track for dance students and recreational dancers. Kristen has worked with social and competitive dancers, and has herself been a finalist at MADJam, the largest West Coast Swing event on the East Coast, along with placing highly in regional competitions from Virginia to Pennsylvania.
Alyssa

A native of Buffalo, NY, Alyssa has been surrounded by dance her whole life. She began her dance training at the American Academy of Ballet were she trained in ballet, pointe, modern, tap, and jazz for over 10 years. Alyssa continued her training at Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA where she pursued a dual degree in Dance and Arts Management. In 2015, Alyssa was among a handful of Mercyhurst dancers who traveled to Paris, France to further her training. Although primarily trained in classical ballet, Alyssa is no stranger to the commercial dance scene. She spent three seasons with the Mercyhurst Dance Team as well as two seasons with the Erie Bayhawks Dance Team in the NBA G-League. In October 2015, she was invited with the Erie Bayhawks to dance for China Hoops and toured around China, dancing in over 10 cities. Alyssa has also taken her talents inside the studio to train and mentor students. She teaches in every style, including ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, modern, and contemporary. Alyssa is very excited to join Dance With Me School of Dance where she can pass on her passion for the arts to audiences and students.
Morgan

Morgan

Instructor

Morgan, originally from New Jersey, danced for 19 years, performed at the 2012 Olympic Games and won multiple Irish Dance Championships. Morgan received her BS from York College of Pennsylvania in Middle level Education Math with a Biology Minor. She was a 4 year member of the York College Dance Team and founding member of the Absegami Dance Team. 

Bambi Johnson

Bambi has been dancing since the age of two, and she has been privileged to perform with Back Alley Dancers, Maryland Ballet, Colin Dunne’s Riverdance, and the touring production of Fosse to name a few. She was an NFL cheerleader and dancer, and she was on the production staff for the NFL Pro Bowl halftime show. Currently, Bambi’s choreography can be seen in many of Maryland’s high schools and community theaters, including Cockpit in Court, Phoenix Festival Theater, DCT & Milburn Stone Theatre, as well as competitive dance teams across the country.  Featured several times in the popular American Cheerleader and Dance Spirit magazines, Bambi also is listed in the national “Who’s Who Among American Dance Directors.”  Bambi recently was awarded Broadway World’s 2011 Best Choreography Award for her work on Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
